Brown the butter and let it cool slightly.
In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, white sugar, and the browned butter until smooth.
Add the maple butter, vanilla, egg, and egg yolk — mix until creamy.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking.
Scoop onto a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, tapping the tray halfway through if you like flatter cookies.
For the glaze mix all the ingredients and adjust if too sweet or too runny. Then glazed the cookies.
