Halloween M&M’s Cookies

Easy Halloween M&M Cookies – Chewy Inside, Crunchy Outside

Halloween baking doesn’t have to be complicated! These Halloween M&M Cookies are chewy on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and packed with festive candy-coated chocolate. They’re quick, easy, and always a favorite at parties, bake sales, or just as a cozy fall treat at home.

Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 1 stick of butter unsalted
  • 50 g white sugar
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 g Halloween M&M candies (plus a few extra for topping)

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft cookie dough forms.
  4. Fold in about 100 grams of M&M candies, gently mixing them into the dough so they’re evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop the cookie dough using a small or medium cookie scoop (about 100 grams per cookie).
  6. Roll each dough ball in additional M&Ms, pressing them slightly into the surface so every cookie is colorful and packed with candies.
  7. Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one. For best results, chill the dough on the tray for at least 30 minutes before baking — this helps keep them chewy inside and slightly crisp outside.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown while the centers remain soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Storage Tips

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • To keep them soft, place a slice of bread in the container with the cookies.
  • Freeze unbaked dough balls in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months. Bake straight from the freezer, just add 1–2 minutes to the baking time.

These cookies are simple, festive, and the kind of recipe you’ll come back to every Halloween season. 🎃👻
