Monster Cookies

This monster cookies are fun to make. These cookies combine the best ingredients like oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, M&M’s, creating the ultimate treat for any occasion.

It’s easy to make. Baked in high heat that leaves the cookie chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The higher temperature helps crisp up the edges while keeping the center soft and gooey, giving you that perfect contrast in every bite.

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Flour: all purpose flour
  • Butter: unsalted butter
  • Egg: 1 egg and an extra yolk: Using 1 egg and an extra yolk in a recipe adds richness, moisture, and tenderness to cookies.
  • Sugar: brown sugar and granulated sugar
  • Baking powder and baking soda as leavening agents that helps cookies spread and brown. Baking powder has both acid and base, creating a lighter texture.
  • Vanilla: for richer flavor
  • Salt: enhances the flavor
  • Peanut butter: I used just the creamy peanut butter any brand will do.
  • Chocolate chips, semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips: I did a variety so it does not get too sweet.
  • Oats: I used rolled oats
  • M&M’s minis: I used the mini ones so it’s not overwhelming.

How to make Monster Cookies:

  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir to combine. Set aside.
  • Cream Wet Ingredients: In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs and the extra egg yolk, beating well after each addition. Add the peanut butter. Stir in the vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Add half of the dry ingredients and half of the oats to the wet ingredients. Mix carefully then the remaining half of the dry ingredients and oats together.
  • Add Chocolate and M&Ms: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  • Scoop the Dough: Use a spoon cookie scoop to drop dough balls (I used a jumbo cookie scoop about 4 tablespoons) onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  • Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The cookies will be soft in the center, so don’t overbake.
  • Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
